Why Won't My uPVC Door Lock Properly?

The door has dropped
Try lifting the door slightly while turning the handle. If it locks now, hinge adjustment is needed.
Gearbox failing
The handle lifts but the locking points don't all engage, or it feels gritty and inconsistent.
Misaligned keeps
You can see scrape marks on the frame where the locking hooks hit instead of slotting in.
Failed cylinder
The handle and points work but the key won't turn — the cylinder itself has failed.
